Below are the three headstones of the Warcowie lone graves. In an attempt to save as much space as possible and increase the speed of downloading, only part of the stone is displayed. Flinders Ranges Research has a full photograph of each of these, and many others as well.
The above grave is of James Craig
who was struck by lightning in March 1855, aged 40 years.
In Life universally respected
In death deeply lamented.
Craig was part owner and manager of Warcowie Station for the Browne Brothers. Nearby Mount Graig was named after him.
Bessie Sanders, died 2 March 1875, 17 months.
She was the youngest daughter of JC and EH Sanders
died of Convulsions.
Indecipherable and unknown.
